Prior to establishing Eala OT, Aoife worked for several years in a wide variety of settings including; Children’s Disability, Child and Adolescent Mental Health and in Disability Services in an Irish university. Aoife graduated as an occupational therapist from National University of Ireland, Galway over ten years ago.

Aoife is passionate about providing high quality, evidence based occupational therapy and is currently studying towards a certificate in Ayres Sensory Integration. She has also completed many courses and training events such as:

• Understanding Dyspraxia/Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) and Best Practice Assessment for Children and Young People with DCD by Dr Aine O’Dea

• Assessment of Adults for Developmental Coordination Disorder facilitated by Dr Dorothy Armstrong

• DIR Floortime 101

• R.E.S.T Sleep Programme (Day 1 & 2) by Dr David Lee

• Quality Improvement in Action in Royal College of Physician's Ireland

• Psycho-Sensory Intervention facilitated by Kim Barthel

• Assistive Technology in Education by Hilary Cotter

As well as being registered with CORU as an OT, Aoife is also a member of The Association of Occupational Therapists Ireland (AOTI).
